Why I'm a Fan
I'm a fan of HCR because... well... Hot Chelle Rae is simply the best. Okay, I saw you guys twice, and let me say, you guys can really put on a show. First time, Warped Tour 2010 at Monmouth Racetrack. You were on the KIA Kevin Says Stage (even though I think you always played on that stage), and I didn't know you guys much, if anything. I only stopped by because I heard Bleed once on a Six Flags commercial about Pop Tarts and Jive Records. Stopped by, and it was one of the best decisions in my life. Yeah, it's only been a month since I first saw you, but you guys are already up there with my favorite bands. Bought the CD at your tent, and when I got home, immediately put it in my computer. Listened to it once and I was already hooked. I went on a trip the next day; I was about to leave, but I forgot the CD inside the house. Ran back in, got the CD, popped it in. Made the 3-hour car ride a lot easier to bear. Memorized the words in two days and you already entered the Top 25 Most Played on my iPod. Then a slight obsession started. Facebook statuses, non-stop HCR conversations, you name it. Then I had to spread the HCR fever around. Introduced it to all the friends that would listen, and I assure you not one of them DIDN'T like you guys. Hell, they all bought your albums off iTunes, and I burnt a CD for one of em. They were hooked, too. Then I heard you guys were going to Six Flags Great Adventure. "Holy Crap!" I thought. Told all the friends I could, about ten of us went. (It's sad, a couple of my friends who almost like you guys as much as I do couldn't make it for the concert. BUT, they made it in time for autographs!) And a couple days earlier, I tweeted that you should play "Alright", my fave song. (And another thing, my twitter is heyitsejcool.) And what happened that night? YOU PLAYED IT! I started jumping and I was like, "THEY LISTENED!" It was great, and so was the rest of the setlist. During "The Distance", my 4-year old brother started dancing and jumping around, and this one family started recording him dancing. (he knows all the words to most of your songs. he knows too much music for his age, but it's always great to start young!) They thought he was too cute and all. After the amazing concert, I was already stoked about meeting you guys again, since you said you would sign all the autographs necessary. (met you once already, with VIP backstage passes. Funny story, I ran into my friend, she knew someone that knew someone that knew one of those opening acts that had passes. When she was done, she gave it to me. I stuck it onto my shirt and the only thing the security said was "NO RUNNING!" I laughed so hard, but I just walked towards you guys. You signed my CD and wrote "thanks for buying the record!" You also liked my sharpie.) Where was I? Okay, then I met you guys again with my group of friends. Then the night was pretty much over after that. Woo! What a night! OTHER THINGS TO ADD ON TO THIS SUPER LONG PARAGRAPH: My profile picture on facebook is pretty much the same pic I have on this website. You guys don't know how much of an impact you made to me this summer. You guys really care about your fans, and playing "Alright" really sold it to me. I thought you'd ignore it like other arrogant bands, but you played it! I also participated in that Bleed / guitar contest (not gonna tell you who i am, because I want the best one to win). Blah, blah, this is too long, so I'm just gonna end it with a big THANK YOU. Thanks HCR!
